Bosideng, the largest down clothing firm in Asia with over 10,000 retail outlets, is launched its multimillion pound flagship store on South Molton Street on Thursday 26 July. The store houses its Autumn/Winter 2012 premium menswear collection for the European market, designed by Nick Holland and Ash Gangotra.
Bosideng’s Chief Financial Officer, Kelvin Mak, said: “We have secured a superb location in one of the world’s most famous retail destinations.”
Managing Partner at Gordons, Paul Ayre, added: “By locating in the West End with such a striking building, the company has made a powerful statement about its intention to rapidly position Bosideng as a highly desirable high street brand.”
The store also acts as the leading Chinese clothing retailer’s European headquarters, making it Bosideng’s first investment in global expansion.
Bosideng founder and Chairman, Mr Gao Dekang, said: “Bosideng has achieved significant recognition and respect in China. Now we are expanding to establish Bosideng’s international brand presence. Following many years of work behind the scenes we have chosen to launch in London, one of Europe’s most influential fashion hotspots, where we will showcase our expertise.”
Bosideng UK’s CEO, Wayne Zhu, added: “A move into Europe has been a goal of Bosideng for some time and we’re very excited to be launching in such a prominent location in London.”
