The Lanes of Mayfair is a collection of streets bounded by New Bond Street, Oxford street, Davis Street and Grosvenor Street. The Lanes encompass such iconic names as South Molton Street and Brook Street as well as Lancashire Court and Avery Row. The area is a vital and much loved part of Mayfair, characterised by an eclectic mix of international luxury retailers and superb independents. Its a real mix and a treat awaits around every corner – food, hair and styling, antiques, high fashion, jewellery and fine dining of all descriptions. However, as well as the retail selection there is real history and culture – William Blakes house is here from where he wrote so many of the great works – Tiger Tiger and Jerusalem. Handels London house is here and is a museum that can be visited. Nearer in time there is the London Flat of Jimmy Hendrix. See our history section for more on all this.
There is still more though – the area is home to dozens of small and large companies – Bonhams the international auction house are headquartered here, as is the historic head office and showroom of the world famous Colefax and Fowler. There are dozens of small professional companies and firms that all enjoy the atmosphere and quality of a very important slice of London.
Dont take our word for it though – Come and see it for yourself…
